The Training and Resource Institute develops
various tools, directories and manuals to support Native organizations
in the Pacific Region in developing resources for their projects.
CNHA believes that through the active development of information and
support, Native communities can develop their capacity and strengthen
their voice on Native issues. To order any of the manuals below,

Resources include the following:
Through the Department of Health & Human
Services (HHS), the Administration for Native Americans (ANA) has a
funding program that covers three areas: Social Economic Development,
Language Preservation and Maintenance and Improving the Well Being of
Children/Native American Healthy Marriage Initiative. ANA contracted
CNHA to provide resources and training's on the proposal development
and submission process. The Pre-Application Training Manuel 2006
introduces the structure of ANA, reviews ANA funding guidelines, and in
depth information, tips, and practice exercises to build your
proposal.

The Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) offers the Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian Institutions
Assisting Communities Grant Program (AN/NHIAC). CNHA provides
training and assistance on the proposal development and submission
process. The NHIAC manual provides an overview and introduction
to HUD’s AN/NHIAC program, overview of key elements of the
proposal, application and review process and list current activity of
AN/NHIAC.
The Federal Funding includes a list of data
sources that may be a tool for preparing grant applications. The
directory also contains a listing of government agencies, non-profit
organizations, foundations, technical assistance providers and
businesses that can provide valuable resources that support community
project in the fields of agriculture, business/economic development,
cultural preservation/language, education, health, housing, non-profit
management, and social services.
